Meet the Bands
March 10, 2026
In the coming weeks, I’ll be doing my best to showcase all the musicians who appear in my feature documentary “Hank’s Saloon”.
First up: Brooklyn’s own Apache Brown Band performing “Be My Husband”. Live at Hank’s Saloon, December 2, 2018.
As things progress, you will be able to watch all the performances here.
Thank you, Nitehawk!
As a grassroots indie filmmaker who spent literal years holed up in a small room creating a movie—and always wondering how it would go over—there is nothing wilder or more fulfilling than sitting back and watching it unfold in real time in front of a packed theater.
Thank you, Nitehawk Cinema Prospect Park, for bringing back “Hank’s Saloon” for yet another big sold-out screening!
And thank you to the literal hundreds of people who came and made this night one to remember.

“Hank’s Saloon” on the NYHC Chronicles
March 1, 2026
On March 1st, I got to discuss my feature documentary “Hank’s Saloon”, with New York City’s own New York Hardcore Chronicles podcast!
Hosted by acclaimed director Drew Stone (“All Ages: The Boston Hardcore Film”, “Who the Fuck Is That Guy? The Fabulous Journey of Michael Alago”, and “The New York Hardcore Chronicles”, among many others), the show also featured special appearances by two characters from the film: former Hank’s booker Lee Greenfeld of Dead Flowers Productions, and writer/musician Benjamin Howard Smith of the legendary New York City band The Brought Low.

“Professional Exhibitionist”
November 7, 2025
On November 14, 2025, I celebrated the opening of my first-ever photography show.
My new photo series, “Professional Exhibitionist”, is currently on display at Gallery 198 in Brooklyn, as part of the group show In•Habit, through the end of November.
The series stars Renna Mae, a 73-year-old artist and native New Yorker who has worked professionally as a nude model since the early 1970s. As part of the exhibit, I also debuted a 15-minute mini-documentary film about her. Because of nudity restrictions on YouTube, I can’t embed the video here, but you can watch the full video here.
TC is Metal
September 22, 2025
TC Edwards—a Black autistic man obsessed with being a heavy metal singer—was a beloved fixture in Little Rock, Arkansas’ vibrant underground music scene, and the best friend of indie filmmaker Mike Poe. The two were inseparable until, in 2014, tragedy struck.
Last month I was hired to help Mike organize and compile his literal decades of raw footage, with the goal of eventually completing a documentary about TC. Here’s a preliminary teaser I created, as a proof-of-concept of Mike’s vision.
